Ashwini Vaishnav was greeted by the departmental secretary and senior officials. As per the rules, the responsibility of the railway department was handed over to Mr. Vaishnav. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vaishnav said that the Prime Minister has high hopes for the Ministry of Railways. He hoped that the railways would improve in the coming days. "His vision for the railways is to change people's lives," he said. He will work for the benefit of the general public, farmers and the poor. Prior to taking over the responsibility of the Railways, Mr. Vaishnav was in charge of electronics, IT and communications Office and held discussions with departmental officials.

However, it has been surveyed since 1991 for the expansion of the new railway line from junagadh to Ambaguda in Chhattisgarh. Work is now underway on a new railway line between Malkanagiri and Nabarangpur. The connection of the new railway line from Junagadh to Nabarangpur will reduce the distance between North and South India. It will be developed as one of the most important railways in the country. It is also hoped that the economic and social infrastructure of the KBK districts will be improved. adding that a new survey of Kantabanji - Nbarangpur in Dharmagarh - Junagarh could pave the way for development. As a result, the region's food crops, minerals, water resources and human resources could be better utilized. Since the launch of the Lanjigada - Junagadh Road railway line in 2014, the Bhubaneswar Express and Raipur, Sambalpur passenger trains have been running from Junagadh to Kalahandi district. He said he had written to the former railway minister. Due to the long-standing demand, the new railway minister is expected to take steps to expand the Dharmagada railway line from Gunagada.
Cuttack station demands 'heritage status'

Three railway divisions have been set up at Rayagada, Rourkela, Jajpur, Kendujhar Road and the party has demanded that the mineral-rich areas of Mayurbhanj and Sundergarh districts be shifted from the Southeast Railway Zone to the East Coast Railway.
