The arts department has the highest number of 38,000 seats. Mass Education Minister Sameer Ranjan Das said the number of seats allowed in science was increased to 13,000 and commerce to 3,900.
According to Mr. Das, we have received an application for an increase of 72,000 seats. There were applications for an increase of 40,000 seats in arts, 25,000 in science and 4,000 in commerce. The application process for enrollment will begin on August 12, with a focus on the future of plus 2 students. As always, students can apply on the Sams portal. After the increase in seats, there will be 2,80,000 seats in the arts department, 1,54,000 seats in science and 45,000 seats in commerce for the current year. Prior to enrollment in the 2021-22 academic year, three open colleges in the state were locked. These are Roland High School in Berhampur, Ganjam district, Bluewhile high school in Ranpur in Nayagarh district and Jateswar Deb High School in Nimapada in Puri district.
