              Bhupendra Patel has been sworn in as the 17th Chief Minister of Gujarat. Bhupendra has been sworn in as Chief Minister at a grand ceremony at the Raj Bhavan. The governor administered the oath of office and secrecy to him. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant were also present at the swearing-in ceremony. Bhupendra Patel has a strong influence in the Patidar community in Gujarat. The BJP is hoping to win the next general election. According to reports, Bhupendra Patel is likely to form a new cabinet soon. Bhupendra is likely to replace 50 per cent of the former ministers in the Vijay Rupani government. Sources said that Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel is likely to remove the new cabinet and that three to four senior ministers are likely to be removed from the new cabinet. The BJP legislature held a meeting on Sunday to seal the name of Bhupendra Patel and to play a key role in the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections next year.
