The Student Union and the Student Congress have intensified their agitation, accusing them of incompetence as a result of plus two joint examinations conducted by the Council for Higher Secondary Education. Demonstrations took place at Master Canteen Square. Hundreds of students from different districts of the state blocked the highway for three hours despite the rains.
The chief minister promised to cancel the plus two exams and assess everyone in a specific manner. Divisional Minister Sameer Ranjan Das announced that students who have dropped out of school and extra-curricular students will take the exams. This is utter injustice and partiality. They demanded that the plus two students be evaluated on the basis of the 10th grade results and that the results of the non-regular students be published. The team has demanded that the upcoming classroom exams be postponed and that the application process be closed. Sunil Matia, Abhiram Gouda, Karthik Kandy, Sagar Patnaik, Bibhuti Bhushan Mohapatra, Satyajit Mohanty, Amit Jena took part in the protest.
