                The ballot box will open today. Which candidate got how many votes will be counted one by one. It will then be known. Who among the nearly 2.20 lakh candidates contested the panchayat elections will be crowned win.

             But the beating of the candidates has increased before the counting of votes. While everyone is hoping for victory, the people of Odisha are staring at whom the people are winning and who they are overcoming. While the results of panchayat elections are due in phases from today, elaborate preparations have been made by the State Election Commission. As the counting of votes in the Zilla Parishad zone decided to count 315 zilla parishad zones on 26th, 307 in 27 and 229 zilla parishads in 28. It has been decided that the results will be declared every day and the votes will be counted. Counting of votes will be completed by 28th. Before 29th, election officials will declare the names of 91890 ward members, 6793 sarpanches and committee members and winners of 851 zilla parishad zones. According to the election commission's decision, counting of votes will take place as per zilla parishad zilla parishad zone. There will be as many tables as there are gram panchayats in each zone and counting will take place without any break. The tables will be given to panchayats as per the Odia alphabet. One table will have a scouting supervisor, two assistant county officials and a group D employee. It will be said which team will sit at which table. A candidate will have an agent. As many candidates will be placed on the tray table and there will be another tray for the wrong vote. The ballot paper will be separated first according to the colour.

                First the ward member will be followed by the sarpanch and then the committee member and finally the zilla parishad candidate. Where the votes of zilla parishad candidates are counted there will be a tray for wrong votes. The results will then be declared at the block office in a phased manner. Authorized representatives appointed by the candidates will be strictly checked at the entrance when they enter the counting centre. So that no person can take a mobile phone, pen or any electrical equipment to the counting centre. No material can even go to the counting centre as it hampered the counting of votes. All the above ban will also be enforced for employees engaged in counting of votes. Collectors have also been asked to arrange drinking water outside the centre without taking water bottles to the counting centres. Similarly block level election officials are said to provide up to date data on the website.
