Modi's tea-selling station has become historic

vadnagar

As a child, Narendra Modi used to sell tea to people at Gujarat's Badanagar railway station. He was doing this with his father. Today, the station has revived the memory of Modi. The station has been inaugurated by the Railways, while the Prime Minister has inaugurated it in a virtual mode. Modi was born on September 17, 1950 in Badanagar. Modi was the third of six siblings. His father was selling tea at the station. While studying in school, Modi regularly helped his father in business.  Modi was delivering tea to customers when the train was stopped at the station. In an interview with Akshay Kumar, Modi said he had the opportunity to understand people at the station. Some people were scaring him, while others were explaining to him.  Merchants were coming from Mumbai in freight trains. He learned Hindi by talking to them while drinking tea. As a child, Modi has seen poverty up close. He didn't even have the money to buy a pair of shoes to keep his shoes clean. For this, he was dipping his shoes in the water of the sacrificial wheel at school and polishing his shoes. As a child, Modi dreamed of joining the army. He was interested in attending a military school in Jamnagar. But he could not study because his family did not have the money.
